Imom Al Buxoriy

Day 5 👋👋Hello everyone. Today's blog is about Imom al Buxoriy monument. Our practise was very fascinating. Let's start.

On the basis of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 29, 1997 "On the celebration of the 1225th anniversary of the birth of Imam al-Bukhari according to the Hijri-lunar calendar", a special memorial complex was erected at the place of the Allama's mausoleum.

The Imam al-Bukhari memorial complex is an architectural monument and pilgrimage site in Samarkand. The cemetery in the village of Hartang, Chelak district, where Imam al-Bukhari was buried, has been one of the most blessed and cherished places of pilgrimage for Muslims. In the 16th century, a mausoleum was built over the grave of Imam al-Bukhari, a mosque was built next to it, and several maple trees were planted in the yard. However, due to the policy of tyranny during the Shura regime, this place fell into disrepair.

After the independence of Uzbekistan, to honor the memories of great people like Imam al-Bukhari, who gave his whole life in the way of faith and belief, knowledge and religion. special attention was paid to the improvement of the places associated with their names. Based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 29, 1997 "On the celebration of the 1225th anniversary of the birth of Imam al-Bukhari according to the Hijri-lunar calendar", a special memorial complex was erected at the place of the Allama's mausoleum.

The complex first of all serves as a shrine, a holy place, and then a place where daily, Friday and Eid prayers are performed. It is also intended to study hadith science here. Buildings (mausoleum, mosque, administrative and other structures) built on the basis of traditional national architectural solutions (pedestal, dome, dome, porch, etc.) are decorated with the main plan of the memorial complex. In the center of the mausoleum is a saghana made of transparent blue onyx stone. From the door on the right side of the mausoleum, a staircase leads down to the lower floor of the mausoleum - the shack. The grave where Imam al-Bukhari's body is buried is covered with marble stone right under the saghana on the upper floor.

Today's blog is over. Goodbye🖐
