Informations below Govkushon complex - an architectural monument in Bukhara (16th century) A complex consisting of a madrasah, a mosque, a tower, a pool and a palace (Govkushon - a butcher's market) built by Khojabor Khoja. Between the madrasa and the mosque is the Shahrud stream. The pool was buried in the 1930s. Today's practice day is "Buxoro amiri saroyi".It is located in Kogon.  The palace was built by Russian and Bukhara masters on the order of Syed Abd-ad-Akhad in connection with the visit of the Russian emperor to Turkestan in the beginning of the 20th century. The building has a complex plan and structure, and at a glance you can see the order of equality in all aspects. The base of the palace is formed by the core of a large ceremonial room.  The decoration of the building is of various styles, both externally and internally, where experts have emphasized modern, Moorish and even pseudo-Russian architectural elements, as well as local themes and even Arabic epigraphy.
