Bolo Haouz Mosque is a historical mosque in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.Built in 1712, on the opposite side of the citadel of Ark in Registan district, it is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list along with other parts of the historic city. It served as a Friday mosque during the time when the emir of Bukhara was being subjugated under the Bolshevik Russian rule in the 1920s
Registan - a central city square - was a typical part of all the Central Asian cities. Bukhara had its Registan, too; it was located across from The Ark Fortress.

Bolo Hauz Complex. Uzbekistan, BukharaThere were a lot of public buildings in the square: mosques and trade chambers; an administrative office and a hospital. However, only one of Registan structures has survived into the present. It is Bolo Hauz Complex.

Its construction began in the 17th сentury at the instigation of the Bukhara emir Shahmurad.

 Hello everyone👋 Today we learnt about Sadriddin Ayniy home-museum. Teacher brought us this place. The weather was shiny and very hot🌸 So I start. The Kukeldash madrasah, one of the largest in Central Asia, is located in the Labi-Hauz architectural ensemble (16th -17th cc.). The madrasah was built during the reign of Abdullakhan of the Sheibanid dynasty. With its 160 hudjras (dwelling cells), the madrasah has very interesting composition. Its external walls have open balconies and beautiful ornamentation. Sadriddin Ayni, the great writer and educator, lived and studied in this madrasah. The memorial museum, placed in the Kukeldash madrasa, is devoted to the lives of Sadriddin Ayni (1878-1954) and Jalol Ikromi (1909-1989), the outstanding classical writers of the Uzbek and Tajik literature. Minarai Kalon (Big Tower), Arslankhan Tower is an architectural monument in Bukhara. It was built by Arslan Khan (1127) based on the project of engineer and architect Baqo. M.k. there used to be a minaret in its place, after it collapsed, the current one was rebuilt.
